Topcon Healthcare Solutions EMEA is part of Topcon Healthcare Corporation. We specialise in providing modern software solutions for eye care (e.g. optical stores, eye clinics). Our primary target is to offer the whole workflow from the clinical device connection to archiving and telemedicine. Our solutions have been designed in cooperation with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent usability and performance. Our customers are optical retailers, clinics and hospitals.

What kind of work is this?

Topcon Healthcare is looking for an experienced Solution Architect for our data management solutions in our office in Kamppi, Helsinki. 

As a Solution Architect, you are responsible for designing the best solution for our customers considering their requirements and environment.  You will work closely with our customers and partners worldwide to understand their needs and use your knowledge of DICOM and HL7 to plan seamless integrations and workflows. You collaborate with our product management team on how to develop the solutions further and provide feedback from our customers to generate ideas for our roadmap. 

Topcon’s novel solutions in remote eye examinations and vendor-neutral data management will be your area of expertise, and you are eager to learn every technical detail of the products. You are the go-to internal reference to support Topcon Healthcare’s operations team in all technical matters related to the product. You understand and like to define the links between user experience and technical solutions. You feel at ease in front of large audiences and enjoy doing presentations, demos and training, sometimes even on short notice. 

Your days consist of investigating, planning and designing solutions for our customer delivery projects. Sometimes your expertise is required for problem-solving in our customer support cases. Topcon Healthcare’s sales team will rely on your knowledge in complicated business cases to achieve the right outcome for all parties. What do you expect from me?

To succeed in this position, you have: 

  • Knowledge of healthcare standards (DICOM, HL7, FHIR) 
  • Understanding of the healthcare sector   
  • Technology knowledge (SQL, Linux and other operating systems, web technologies)  
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in English 
  • Good presentation skills and willingness to present in front of different audiences 
  • Customer-oriented and self-driven attitude   


  • You live in Finland and can work at our Helsinki office 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. health technology)   
  • Readiness to travel in Finland and abroad  

Seen as an advantage:
