Topcon Healthcare Solutions EMEA is part of Topcon Healthcare Corporation. We specialise in providing modern software solutions for eye care (e.g. optical stores, eye clinics). Our primary target is to offer the whole workflow from the clinical device connection to archiving and telemedicine. Our solutions have been designed in cooperation with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent usability and performance. Our customers are optical retailers, clinics and hospitals.

What kind of work is this?

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our Solutions team in Kamppi. The team is part of the Professional service organization and is responsible for implementation of our software products in EMEA region and for technical support globally. The team also supports sales, assists product management and development in feature specification and validation as well as organizes technical trainings to our partners and distributors globally. The team consists of eight subject matter experts such as Integration specialists, Solution specialists and Solution architects.

The most important job of the Team lead is to plan and develop the way we work, and to keep the team members happy and motivated. You are responsible for recruiting, resource allocation, workload estimation and performance evaluation. Additionally, based on your previous technical expertise, you will also hold a subject matter expert role, and participate in technical tasks related to customer projects and support. Depending on your background and interests, you can have a key role in the development of how we deploy and support our products.

What do you expect from me?

We expect you to have technical expertise of medical imaging or healthcare information systems to hold the SME role, but you don’t need to have a background in ophthalmology. We offer you the possibility to deepen your knowledge with training held by our in-house eye care professionals.

We are looking for a candidate with great people management skills and knowledge of change management. Good teamwork and excellent communication skills are useful in this role, because you will collaborate with multiple different stakeholders at Topcon. As our official company language is English, we expect you to have good English skills. In addition, Finnish language skills are a plus.

We expect you to have the following:

  • Management and people skills
  • Understanding of change management
  • Customer-oriented and self-driven attitude
  • You live in Finland and can work at our Helsinki office 
  • Minimum 3 years of Team lead experience 
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. health technology) 
  • Readiness to travel in Finland and abroad
